There are so many things that are important to me, but only a few that could greatly affect my life if I didn’t have or accomplish them. The biggest things to me are success, family, and freedom. These are all things that are essential to my life in so many different aspects.
The most important thing to me is success; it’s a thing I must have. Success can mean a lot of different things to different people; it just depends on the person. Success to me is a business standpoint; I have so many goals I’ve set for myself business and financial wise, success comes to me in those ways. In order for me to feel like I’ve actually succeeded in life I must reach these goals. If I reach these goals I have many plans that will contribute to the benefiting of society, like starting a camp for all types of kids. It would be somewhere they could go in the summer to stay out of trouble and have tons of fun without the risk of going through many of the pressures children experience while out with friends hanging out at home. I would have four wheelers; fishing, camping, and many other things children love to do.
Another thing that is extremely important in my life is family. At my age not a lot of people think about having one but its something that I know I want. I mean with all the plans I have for my future they wouldn’t be as great if I didn’t have people to share it with or give to when I passed away. Also having little kids and doing father activities with them is something I really look forward too.
What would you do without freedom? Too many people in America take the greatest thing we have in our country for granted. Not a lot of people realize how great they have it compared to other countries in the world. I couldn’t imagine from the time I was born having someone already have my life picked out for me, or work at the same job for 40 years knowing you can never move up from the position you started at, and the worst thing is you never even chose that job.

Although values and morals are closely connected, they are defined by some few, narrow characteristics that define a person's behavior. Morals come from systems of outside influence such as religion and politics, while values stay close to the guidelines of a person's own standards from within. Family Moral Values Essay - Many years ago, families had moral values that served a purpose in their lives. Mothers stayed at home and care for the children while dads went to work and provided for the family. In the home mothers would make the children to do their chores and homework before they could go outside and play. Back then, there were no computers or video games to play with so kids had to entertain themselves. By the end of the week, the family would go to church on Sunday. Myth of Courage Exposed in The Things They Carried Essay - Ah for a young man all looks fine and noble if he goes down in war, hacked to pieces under a slashing bronze blade he lies there dead. . .but whatever death lays bare all wounds are marks of glory. (Homer 22.83-87)   As students we are brainwashed by ancient myths such as The Iliad, where war is extolled and the valorous warrior praised. Yet, modern novels such as Tim O'Brien's The Things They Carried (THINGS) challenge those very notions. Like The Iliad, THINGS is about war. It is about battles and soldiers, victory and survival, yet the message O'Brien gives us in THINGS runs almost contradictory to the traditional war story....   [tags: The Things They Carried]

The Value of A Life Essay

Value of life
The life given by god has a very special meaning a value in which people sometimes forget to thank or either regret. Many students/adults believe that they are going to be popular if they have money and a good job buy forget that people are influenced by those who have learned something. Also a lot fail to remember, to earn value you must earn it.In today’s economy the government creates a value on the person by looking at the position they are held for. If you look at it from the society’s point of view they believe people should be given value according to what they do and what position they are. From an individual's perspective they judge themselves on what they accomplish and achieve. The value of the individual would…show more content…

Each individual has their own perspective on how they want their life to be. As Steve Jobs mentioned in his inaugural speech “ Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your inner voice”(89). The meaning of this quote is just do what you love and do not let anyone else tell you what to do. In life you just have to be your own self and believe that you can and will achieve. Your life will only be worth it if you actually accomplish something you wanted to do not what others want you to do. Several high school students tend to find a job while attending school and stay with it for the rest of their life. However, what they do not realize is that they are missing out on what they actually wanted to do in life not make money with the job they hate doing. The value of life has to be interpreted throughout high school as well as college because if you do not figure it out then you will end up doing something you will regret in the future.
In many cases the society would make their decision based on what the person did and who the person was. For example, in the late 18th-19th century when there was slavery the people made their decision based on who had the most money not the one who worked. If you look at it today it is kind of similar because say a teacher gets injured and a professional athlete the value would be based on who
